Position:  Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing marketing related activities within the packaging segment.  Will work with the cross functional team to drive the business performance in the packaging segment to meet short and long term objectives of the business.
Will work closely with manufacturing and sourcing, engineering and R&D, internal senior executives, Field Sales organization, key business partners and the senior management team to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future.  Oversees development of customer insights and business/market intelligence development, syndicated data, sales analysis and corresponding presentations so as to identify and capitalize on the most advantageous business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop strategic plans that enable businesses to grow faster than their markets.
  • Investigate marketing opportunities with significant scale and synergy to drive growth and leverage current portfolio of products.
  • Integrate inputs to develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; be competent in microeconomics, finance, VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit [market definition and sizing, segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing].
  • Design VOC; understand segmentation; understand value elements critical to customers; value equations; target value propositions to customer segments to inform customer marketing and account plans
  • Establish/maintain a project management framework in line with strategic objectives…for example, lead a new product introduction through the stage gate process from idea to launch 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or technical discipline is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience successfully leading marketing, strategic planning, growth initiatives and cross functional teams. 
  • 5+ years experience demonstrating proven marketing strategic, analytical and implementation skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in similar leadership role. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA is highly desirable.
  • Solid track record of understanding market position, competition and trends to enter into new markets successfully to achieve superior financial results sustainably compared to peers in the industry
  • Proven strategic marketing, strategy formulation and product/business positioning skills and implementation experience.
  • Broad strategic analysis skill set complimented with a detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated Experience with implementation of growth, new business development and marketing initiatives that lead to stronger market penetration.
  • Track record of executing on short and long term market and product growth goals
  • Strong business acumen, “street smarts” and an in-depth understanding of the marketing and financial implications of new opportunities.
  • Ability to understand and add value to high-level management interactions, with a proven ability to develop and “sell” creative business strategies.
  • Experience managing in a matrixed and lean culture that continuously prioritizes operational excellence.
