Position Title: Parts, Materials and Processes Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL

Position Description:
Our client is looking for Parts, Materials and Processes Engineer candidates for a position located in Huntsville, Alabama
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform and Execute the Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) program for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. 
  • Provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) support to GMD PMP as necessary to successfully disposition PMP changes submitted to the Program Parts Control Board (PMPCB) and to ensure that PMP selected demonstrates PMAP compliance.
  • Work with suppliers, including their Statement of Works and specifications, to ensure proper flow down and implementation of the MDA directed PMP technical and programmatic requirements. 
  • Perform tasking in support to GMD As-Designed Products and Materials List (ADPML) development and updates, including review of supplier’s data, performing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) / obsolescence evaluations, and document appropriate obsolescence mitigation plans in a DMS database, and evaluation / disposition of Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) / MDA advisories.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • 15-20 years for component engineering experience.
  • Extensive historical knowledge of Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) safety and mission critical component parts / systems.
  • Extensive experience with the execution of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) PMP Mission Assurance Plan (PMAP) requirements, including implementation at the supplier’s level.
  • Extensive experience in leading a Parts Materials & Process Control Boards (PMPCB).
  • Must have Specialty Engineering expertise in Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE), metallic and non-metallic parts, materials and related processes as well as survivability on Missile Defense Agency programs, especially GMD.
