Position Description:
Our client is looking for I&E Technician candidates for a position located in Philadelphia, PA
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains, constructs, repairs and overhauls instrument systems, devices and peripheral equipment.
  • Performs preventative, predictive and scheduled maintenance
  • Performs troubleshooting on all Instrument systems and process control  using P&ID and electrical schematics
  • Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintains a knowledge and understanding of Process Safety Management, OSHA requirements and API standards
  • Responsible for the safe and proper management and handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with plant requirements.
Basic Qualification:
  • Substantial understanding of general aspects of electrical design and repair.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of instrument and electrical codes, standards and plant engineering specifications
  • Technical work typically requires completion of a 4 year apprenticeship and/ or formal training in area of specialty
  • Basic understanding of communication devices
  • High school diploma
  • Must have ISA certification or successfully pass the ISA Certification Exam for Instrument Technicians program within 24 months of initial date of hire

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform some physical labor associated with jobs
  • Possess a strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes
  • Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet.
  • Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe work space based on following standard work.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization.
  • The job may require the individual to work in adverse weather conditions (cold, hot, humid, rain, snow, etc.).
