Position Title:  Civil Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position Status: Full Time
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Civil Engineer candidates for a position located in Atlanta, GA.  This position on the civil design team will be responsible for completing civil site designs for substations and transmission lines in Georgia.  This job will require field visits to attend meetings or take measurements and may involve occasional overnight travel.
  • Design substation and line projects, including: grading and oil containment
  • Serve on site selection committees.  Prepare preliminary designs as required for scoping and site selection
  • Attend meetings at substation sites and take measurements as appropriate for drawings
Required Education:
A BS degree in civil engineering
Required Skills:
  • 3-6 years of civil site design experience
  • Grading design
  • Hydrology and design of storm water systems
  • Erosion control design
  • Cost Estimating
  • Construction coordination or inspection
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly, Word and Excel
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
Desired Skills:
  • Engineer in Training certification
  • A Professional Engineering license
