Position Title: Depot Onsite Technician
Location: Huntsville, Alabama
Position Status: Contract to Hire
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Depot Onsite Technician candidates for a position located in Huntsville, AL.  Candidate will provide a wide range of hardware support and inventory management services to include asset management and troubleshooting HW problems.  This position will be responsible for receiving, processing, and delivering equipment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues with Desktops, Laptops, Printers, peripherals.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors with support tickets for Hardware
  • Provide SW support to include performing operating system rebuilds for single disk and RAID configurations and restoration of data and applications.
  • Familiarity with various hardware components, networking technologies and commercial software packages
  • Physical capability to move and install workstations, servers, racks, and other infrastructure components

  • Support annual and periodic inventories, including scanning assets, correcting records, updating documents, reporting discrepancies
  • Receive shipments, including assisting in unloading trucks, unboxing equipment, scanning, moving, storing and neatly organizing equipment in spaces as directed
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports on on-hand and ordered assets. 
Education/Experience:
  • Warehousing experience to include inventory, shipping and stock levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office to include Word and Excel
  • Hardware certification on Dell, Lenovo, HP, Panasonic, or other applicable Hardware vendor a plus
And/or
  • 2-5 years Windows based operating systems and Intel based systems plus
  • Experienced with administration of Windows 7
  • Experience on Dell laser printers, Panasonic Toughbook’s, and/or Lenovo desired, but not required.
