Position Description:
Seeking an Information Assurance Engineer to join a government consulting firm located in D.C. supporting the Veterans Affairs.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Use data to understand business patterns and trends in information assurance
  • Analyze internal and external data related to Cyber Security Training and Policies
  • Communicate training and policy findings through standard and ad hoc reports
  • Promote best practices in Authority to Operate (ATO), Assessment and Analysis (A&A), and Continuous Monitoring policy and training
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Develop and/or enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) or processes
  • Facilitate process improvement activities and documentation
  • Collaborate with Policy & Training team members as well as System Owners, Program Managers, and Business Owners to conduct training on information assurance/security policies and processes
Required Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
  • 5-7 years of experience in business intelligence/analytics, information assurance, cyber security, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of and Experience with Risk Management Framework, FISMA, FedRAMP, Cloud Models and Services including PaaS, IaaS, SaaS preferred
  • Familiar with OMB directives and FIPS and NIST publications
  • Previous experience with cloud assessments
  • Previous experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, information assurance and cyber security
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with writing or updating processes and procedures
  • Experience using Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools, or specifically the RiskVision or eMASS platforms
  • Strong skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Microsoft products
Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or relevant discipline
