As the Vice President and General Manager for Defense & Intelligence you will be responsible for the following key areas:
  • Developing a vision, strategy and associated tactics for the Defense and Intelligence team that drives growth and operational excellence.
  • Leading the current business portfolio to achieve operational excellence, high customer satisfaction, maximization of revenue and profitability, high staff retention and continued growth.
  • Managing the direction of daily activities of the operation, ensuring it is properly organized, staffed and directed. Determining staffing needs with management. Ensuring personnel are properly qualified, trained and supervised to perform duties effectively. Develop personnel within the operation to facilitate future growth.
  • Maintaining responsiveness to customer requirements and maintain customer relationships. Regularly interface with customer representatives to maintain open communications and to develop or expand business opportunities.
  • Planning, organizing and leading capture efforts and proposals aimed at growing the business.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key personnel at both industry teammates and competitors.
  • Support the development of operating budgets that support the business to achieve Company objectives. Assure execution of approved operating budget.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred computer science or engineering discipline) and at least twelve years related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in DoD markets, management of profit and loss centers, program management of complex IT programs, and proven business development success.
  • Record of successful revenue growth and management of a similarly sized P&L operation ($40 million annual revenue or greater).
  • History of success in managing complex DoD programs
  • Significant experience in shaping opportunites and responding to government solicitations.
  • Significant experience in establishing relationships with various potential DoD clients.
  • Significant experience in establishing relationships with industry partners and competitors.
  • Signifcant experience in team building and staff retention.
Clearance:
  • Secret clearance required; Top Secret highly preferred
