Roles/Responsibilities
  • In charge of requirements and architecture development
  • Responsible for the design, integration, and implementation of all the Flight Software
  • Provide expert advice and support during the entire life cycle of system development
  • Advise on the definition and development of this software system or subsystem
  • Develop specifications and perform analyses of requirements
  • Manage the development of flight/mission-critical software
  • Real-time and post-flight engineering data analysis
  • Consult with management, customers, and external contractors regarding the project schedule, resources, plans, designs, and implementations
  • Define, prioritize, assign, and monitor team tasks, individual workloads and assignments
  • Work with other contractor teams to ensure interfaces and performances are met
  • Work with minimal supervision/guidance
  • Assist in technical risk/opportunity identification
  • Review system requirements for testability ensuring each requirement is precise, unambiguous.
Requirements: 
  • BS, Aerospace Engineering or related area of Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience to include test and evaluation experience with embedded systems.
  • Candidate must be familiar with System Test & Operations Language (STOL) for automate functions and data processing with testing embedded flight software.
  • Experience with GIT Distributed Version Control System
  • Plan tests and schedule all resources required for supporting the tests
  • Maintain test schedule and develop test procedures
  • Maintain configuration control of all test items
  • Conduct Test Readiness Reviews
  • Generate and manage discrepancy reports and develop Final Test reports
  • Must have experience in the test and integration of space systems. This experience should include requirements analysis and verification focused on test planning and execution in an operational or near-operational environment.
  • The ability to understand the necessity for crafting and executing test procedures specific to requirements (Level 5, Level 4, etc.) is a must.
  • This position also requires expertise in collecting, manipulating and interpreting test data.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall testing methodologies
  • Experience with JIRA to plan, track and manage agile testing
  • Candidate must be familiar with Record Definition Language (RDL) part of the ASIST system in testing embedded flight software.
  • Supervisory duties are required for this position; must be able to manage cross-functional teams and responsible for supervision and performance of all program personnel
