Contracts Administrator

We are actively seeking a Contracts Administrator for a government solutions provider located in Alexandria, Virginia. 
 
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. 
3-5 years’ of total contract experience with federal government customers and subcontract administration with contractors to the federal government. 
• Knowledge of the proposal process as it relates to federal business cycles and the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals. 
• Knowledge of Pre-award and Post-award. 
• Knowledge of task order, delivery order, and the multiple award process. 
• Overall acquisition and administration of contract requirements, including those of a complex technical nature and/or large dollar potential. 
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports. 
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Provide day-to-day contract administrative duties.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. 
• Ability to work with minimum oversight on a variety of assignments. 
• Creative problem-solving skills, initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion. 
• Ability to maintain poise and professionalism under pressure. 
• Ability to understand the significance of the client’s organizational culture and support organizational standards. 
• Possess a basic understanding of organization and contents of the FAR and DEAR regulations.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
• Typically reports to a Manager 
 
Other Job Functions:
Coordination, development and production of a wide range of procurement documentation, including prime contract and modifications, task/delivery orders, solicitations, cost/price estimates, negotiation memorandums, justifications, determinations, special contract provisions, representations, certifications and correspondence. Provide contract guidance and administrative control over our prime contracts. Identify potential contractual problems or conflicts, analyzing impact/ramifications and resolving issues. Prepare bid packages, and participate in negotiations. Prepare and disseminate information to internal staff regarding prime contract status, compliance, audits, modification, deviation, negotiation, termination and closeout activity. Maintain continual internal and external reviews to ensure that all issues are resolved in accordance with company policies and procedures, customer requirements, contractual requirements and management direction. Prepare and maintain corporate compliant contract files.
