Position Overview:
Seneca’s Big Four accounting firm client is looking for an Audit Readniess Associate to join their team in either Tyson’s Corner, Crystal City or Ft. Belvoir, VA. As a member of our Government and Public Sector (GPS) team, you will join a talented group of professionals, serving in key roles advising US federal agencies addressing issues in performance improvement, program effectiveness, financial management, and Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR). Responsibilities/Required Skills:
  • 1 year of Federal Experience
  • Experience in Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR)
  • Experience with OMB Circular A-123 or Financial Statement audit, Attestations and remediation
  • Work with Government and Public Sector clients to identify financial internal control issues and gaps
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Execute financial internal control analysis/assessments
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and generate reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of internal work products or client deliverables
  • Demonstrate your beginner knowledge and experience auditing, reviewing or working with federal entities’ key business processes in either: funds management; budget formulation and execution; receivables management; disbursements; property management; human resources; financial reporting; and grants management
  • Demonstrate your beginner report-writing skills to communicate findings and recommendations to clients
  • Demonstrate your beginner knowledge of working paper documentation standards
  • Demonstrate your beginner communication skills to discuss testing, observations, and reporting on financial internal controls
  • Actively expand your professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with client delivery teams
  • Support campus and experienced hire recruiting activities
  • Support the development of new business through proposals and relationship building activities
