Requirements: 3+ years of Business Analyst experience and a background in HR or Recruiting

General Summary
Experienced, detailed oriented Business Analyst responsible for supporting mission-critical business areas such as Procurement, Business Development, Collaboration, Service Management, and Human Resources. This individual will work actively with the business community to solve business problems with systematic and process solutions that fit with company/customer system architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
  • Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Lead requirements discovery sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
  • Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
  • Produce timely and high quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes.
  • Write user stories that support the requirements gathered.
  • Plan, facilitate and execute system / functional / performance / usability testing for projects and enhancements including development of test cases.
  • Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Understand the end to end business value chain and the ability to determine business impact  of relationships, dependencies and processes
  • Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms.
  • Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.
  • Evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests.
  • Working knowledge of emerging technology, such as cloud computing, desktop virtualization and unified communications
  • Must have good understanding of IT Infrastructure from both a H/W and support application perspective
  • Good understanding of IT Infrastructure processes and systems flows, and ability to consider implications to current and future state environment as well as impacts to end users
  • Mentor Junior Business Analysts
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Advanced knowledge and awareness of current information technology products, services, and solutions.
  • Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience.
  • Knowledge of technical analysis, implementation and configuration
  • Must be able to work independently on complex tasks which require analysis and action.
  • Must be able to work well with staff members and user community, especially with senior business management staff. Person must be able to interact with employees at all levels of the company
