Position Description:
Our client is looking for IT Support Manager candidates for a position located in Birmingham, AL.  As an IT Support Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of technical support service to all employees, including both technical support and supervisory duties to oversee the daily operations of the IT Help Desk.  Common technical support duties include:
  • Communicating with clients
  • Diagnosing hardware and software malfunctions
  • Troubleshooting problems
  • Replacing hardware
  • Installing new software on clients' machines.
  • Daily oversight and management of the Help Desk Associates.
  • Provide reports around trends, volumes, SLA and other metrics as needed.
  • Work with other IT support areas assisting with issues and troubleshooting to resolution.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Education may be substituted for experience.
Required Skills:
  • Proven leadership/management experience managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with PC Hardware and Windows Software, IP networks and Remote Connectivity (RDS, VPN).
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and other office applications
  • Experience using and supporting Office 365 suite of Products
  • Detail oriented with effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
