Java Developer- DOJ- Top Secret Clearance Required

We are looking for creative individuals to support our intelligence community client to develop a web application in AWS Government cloud while providing O&M support to two production applications.  The work environment is a non-SCIF office space located in Washington, DC. These tools assist a global user base to capture, monitor, and report on headquarters and field office strategy. In addition to our two production systems, the team is focusing on building a new modern strategy tool to replace one of the existing production system.  In this role, you can expect to: Design and develop solutions in the cloud; standardize quality assurance procedures for software development; maintain existing websites using Java EE & related technologies; oversee testing and develop fixes; and demonstrate your ability to design and architect a software component and write technical specification documentation.  
Work Location: Washington, DC 
Responsibilities: 
  • Work with the customer to define application objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality  
  • Create software products using Spring and Hibernate, Java/Javascript technology stack 
  • Manage code repository with Git and track progress in TFS 
  • Execute applications development through coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities 
  • Act as a resource to managers and employees in the organization 
  • Recommend development solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of various design implementations 
  • Actively participate in regularly scheduled team and client meetings  
Required Qualifications: 
  • Active Top Secret clearance 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field  
  • At least 5 years’ experience with software development  
  • At least 3 years’ experience developing with: 
  • Java Platform Enterprise Edition (JEE) 
  • JBOSS EAP
  • Oracle Database 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience in any of the following: 
  • Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, Java 1.8 
  • AngularJS, Angular, TypeScript 
  • Maven, WebPack, Gulp 
  • AWS
