Title:  Content Developer/Instructional Designer (Assima)

Responsible for writing and editing the training content for end-user training, as well as creating job aids and training documentation for staff. Specialize in specific application modules. Participate in design activities and works with track teams to develop training lesson plans.  Involved in training program development and builds technical training environment.
Responsibilities Include
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the assigned EHR application and applicable DHMSM clinical and operational workflows. 
  • Conduct learning analysis and development of the Preliminary Learning Briefs, Instructional Design Maps, Story boards, and Facilitator Guides.
  • Build the learning content for the assigned courses. 
  • Participate in workflow designs and system builds in order to gain an in-depth knowledge of the system functionality and rationale for the workflow designs. 
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and all course materials for role-based education. 
  • Participate in the build, maintenance, and preparation of training environments for training classes. 
  • Act as a resource to aid in e-Learning course development, ongoing new hire education and other duties pertinent to onboarding & education. 
  • Prepare information/data necessary for routine and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Attend meetings as part of internal and external collaboration.
Required Skills:
  • At least 2 years of Relevant experience in adult education or instructional design, including experience in planning and developing learning objectives and course materials.
  • Ability to compose detailed written coursework that summarizes and explains key concepts.
  • Ability to create and edits screenshots.
  • Experience with design and developing content for teaching, training, educational, or presentation purposes.
  • Working knowledge of the hospital/healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in education/staff development and/or a clinical area, preferably a combination of both clinical experience and education.
  • Experience with the Assima software suite.
  • Experience creating instructor led training.
  • Experience with EHR’s suite of healthcare applications.
  • Prior go-live experience.
  • Certification in an EHR application.
  • Working knowledge of the hospital/healthcare environment
