WINDOWS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION:
Candidate will provide Windows System administration support services, within Windows 2008r2, 2012r2, and 2016, to a DoD Agency. Candidate must be able to analyze functional managers’ requests for local Windows IT support and develop detailed system specifications. Candidate must be able to provide technical support to include installation and staging of corporate data on hardware platforms; evaluate system design alternatives and select best approach; administer the implementation of new or modified applications; coordinate user IT schedules, training/procedure material, and resource requirements. Candidate must be able to provide Active Directory (AD) sustainment, configuration, and standardization support. This position will have a 10% travel requirement to customer hub sites.
Candidates primary responsibility as a Systems Administrator will be to provide the highest quality/availability AD environment for the DoD Enterprise to include:
  • Assist with the maintenance and institution of Enterprise-wide group policies
  • Assist with AD consolidation, integration with identity management products, and domain operation troubleshooting
  • Assist in managing a centralized management of very large Windows networks
  • Ability to eliminate resource domains, including the hardware and administration they entail
  • Assist with policy-based desktop lockdown and software distribution; ability to delegate administrative control over resources where appropriate
  • Knowledge of simplified location and use of shared resources; Group Policy; Email support, e.g., MS Exchange; Integrated Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services via Secure Shell (SSH) keys and Domain-based Distributed File System (DFS)
REQUIRED:
  • Six (6) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, three (3) of which are specialized in Information Processing and involve a range of hardware/software solutions, two (2) of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware.
  • One of the following certifications: M2008 NET, MCITP SA, MCITP EA, CSA:WS2012, MCSE: WS2008, MCSE:WS2012, MCSA:WS2008, MCSM:DS, M2012 NET, MCM: Windows Server 2008: Directory, MCA: MS Windows Server Directory, CCAA, GCWN M
  • IAT-II or higher Certification (CompTIA CSA+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CompTIA CASP, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH)
  • Active Secret Clearance preferred Top Secret
Candidate must have knowledge in the following:
  • Determine the source and cause of application software deficiencies within the networked server environment and initiate appropriate action(s) for problem resolution, including communication with vendors and HQ.
  • Monitor performance of installed Automated Information System (AIS) and initiate appropriate action to optimize and correct systems shortfalls.
  • Working and updating Enterprise Help Desk (EHD) tickets
  • Download and modify weekly Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans
  • Provide environmental administration support to include systems administration, applied database administration, and other related services for DLA sponsored initiatives.
  • Ensure all maintenance and upgrade functions are performed on each supported platform/ product on a regular basis for optimal performance using Enterprise standard tools for updating and patching.
  • Manage and maintain appropriate storage media and provide for appropriate storage, backup and recovery of all OS software, software libraries and files in accordance with disaster recovery and COOP plans.
  • Track maintenance support for all hardware and software administered under this contract.
  • Manage and monitor at a minimum system logs, data inputs, data validity, database, and file systems growth patterns and trends.
