  Job Description:
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Lead Engineers and DBA’s in ensuring adequate testing is designed and executed as part of application and configuration changes to the SDD environment.  
  • Ensure Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) is conducted throughout the acquisition process to assist in engineering design and development and to verify that technical performance specifications are met.
  • Ability to manage and work effectively with diverse organizations and personalities to execute a successful test program.
  • Ability to apply complex test methodologies and compensate for limitations and restrictions.
  • Ability to develop overall test strategy to include objectives, methodologies, analysis, and schedules.
  • Able to independently assess system performance against stated requirements.
  • Ability to apply test discipline to design a thorough and executable test program.
  • Ability to lead analysis efforts to dissect output data, interface with the client, and provide clear results and recommendations.
  • Ability to integrate and govern automated testing tools and processes
 
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
 
Qualifications:
10-15 years of related quality assurance experience.
 
Customer Preferred
  •  
    • The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years testing, technical and management expertise in Life Cycle Management supporting applications, infrastructure systems and hardware across the DHA/SDD IT Enterprise. Technical support is provided for capacity and configuration management, including system and application upgrades, release management, routine maintenance and cybersecurity changes.
    • Demonstrated experience and ability to supervise a team of test specialists and manage complex, state-of-the-art test programs.
    • Demonstrated experience and ability to translate complex program requirements into testable objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and recommend test cycle, test plans, safety reviews, and detailed test objectives. Must have detailed familiarity with commercial test environments and operating procedures.
  • Experience in quality assurance and quality control of IT Systems Experience in verification and validation, software testing and integration, and software metrics, and their application to software quality assessment.
