The requirements systems engineering lead will establish requirements management processes for the SDD Applications Support program, establish the functional baseline requirements data base and collaborate with Apps Support program internal and external stakeholders to maintain it over the life of the program
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Establish best practices and approach to requirements management for all IT Operations and DevOps activities.
  • Architect a solution for maintaining requirements for custom and off-the-shelf solutions.
  • Collaborate with Apps Support SME’s and stakeholders to derive and allocate requirements across the program functional elements.
  • Serve as the program requirements interface with the customer and the requirements assurance authority on the Apps Support program.
  • Responsible for the developing, coordinating and maintaining a requirements management process across the Apps Support program applications.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and team members to ensure the accuracy, integrity and derivation of the program allocated baseline requirements and that they are testable, traceable, satisfied, and reportable within the program engineering and development processes.
  • Responsible for making sure the requirements management tool is accessible via SharePoint and able to facilitate sub-system requirements management processes to include reporting accuracy.
  • Work with the client and team to facilitate requirements implementation and testing.
  • Work with the Project Managers, System and Application Administrators, Network and Security Engineers, and Database Administrators (DBAs) to facilitate the implementation and testing of requirements.
 
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Customer Preferred
 
  • Masters in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems engineering preferred with a minimum of 10 years combined experience working for DoD
 
Qualifications:
10-15 years of directly related computer systems analysis and/or programming experience.
 
Customer Preferred
 
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years hands-on experience as an individual contributor or leading teams in engineering requirements management to include design, development, derivation, validation, and verification of requirements.
  • Technical knowledge of all phases of application systems/engineering analysis. Strong user interaction, requirement elicitation and documentation skills.
  • Experience maintaining functional, security, and performance requirements.
  • Experience working with customers to document, derive, and develop requirements.
  • Experience establishing a requirements management process.
  • Experience communicating complex technical projects to high level stakeholders.
  • Proficient professional written and verbal communication skills including briefings and presentations to senior leadership and customers.
  • Proven track record of working with partners and suppliers to develop and deliver program solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership as part of an international team.
