Position Title: Liferay Developer 
Location: Birmingham, AL
Position Status: Contract to Hire (Candidates must be able to go perm)
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Liferay Developer candidates for a position located in Birmingham, AL. As long as candidates have introduction to Liferay, my client will offer training.
 
Required Education:
  • Bachelor Degree, preferable in Computer Science, and five years of programming experience or three years of relevant business experience
 
Skills:
  • Experience with web application architecture and Java J2EE technologies including Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), and AJAX
  • Five years of Java experience preferred
  • Four years of experience with portal technology including JSR 286 spec is preferred
  • Four years of experience with Liferay’s portal, along with experience with Liferay’s content management systems and structure, customizing portlets, and out of the box Liferay features is preferred
  • Experience with Liferay 6 and/or DXP is preferred
  • Experience with UX Design for frontend using Liferay themes and layout development is preferred
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, Responsive Web, Twitter Bootstrap, and Angular JS preferred
  • Experience with Spring MVC framework is preferred
