Position Title: Web Product Development Manager
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Position Status: Full Time
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Web Product Development Manager candidates for a position located in Birmingham, Alabama. Reporting to the Director of IT, the Web Product Development Manager will manage two development teams with approximately 10 engineers.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee prioritization of ongoing development, support and maintenance activities
  • Preside over routine code reviews and change management compliance
  • Work with engineering teams to design customer and internal user facing product features
  • Routine upkeep of product backlogs
  • Interface with Sales and Project Management for resource planning and estimation
  • Design and oversee strong documentation, CI/CD and source control practices
  • Development teams utilize .Net (C#), PHP, MS SQL, MySQL, Aurora, Python etc. on mostly Amazon AWS environments
  • Interface with Infrastructure teams for correct networking and security practices
  • Routinely provide resource planning and status reports to management team
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred
 
Required Skills:
Strong usability / UX experience required
 
Desired Skills:
  • Strong Amazon AWS familiarity preferred
  • Previous development experience preferred
