Position: Software Development Lead
Location: Birmingham, AL
Type: Salaried, Perm

Requirements:
  • Lead a team of data and composition engineers to routinely build and support programs for translating various customer data formats for automated bulk document composition workflows.
  • Reports to Director of IT.
  • Works tightly with Director of Data and Composition for transition of support of legacy customer programs and migration of legacy programs to new data and composition workflow.
  • routinely work with Project Management and Client Services teams on resource planning and estimation.
  • Oversight of team of up to 6 engineers.
  • Routinely evaluate, reverse-engineer and document various customer data formats in preparation for development against it.
  • Build and maintain data and composition automation programs.
  • Familiarity with SQL required.
  • Experience with FoxPro, Access, Excel and Perl preferred.
  • Strong experience with XML required.
  • Good code documentation and testing habits.
  • Familiarity with bank/credit union data formats - particularly line data or mainframe / AS400 data outputs a strong plus but not required
