Position Title: Assistant Superintendent/Project Engineers/ Field Superintendent (Multi-Family Construction)
Location: Southeastern United States

Position Description:
Our client is looking for Assistant Superintendent/Project Engineers/ Field Superintendent candidates for a full-time position requiring heavy travel.  The ideal candidate can have a home base where they choose but will be required to be onsite at one or more of the following construction locations: Tampa, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Huntsville, AL; Greenville, SC; Memphis, TN; Columbus, OH; Cincinnati, OH. Our client will provide you with a monthly allowance of $1000 for housing, company car, and flight home (once a month).
Your role will include assisting the Superintendent & Project Manager in managing and inspecting the day to day on-site construction of an apartment project while adhering to and enforcing the schedule, performance of each subcontractor, conformance to the project budget, compliance with the plans and specifications, enforce strict safety practices, site cleanliness and overall production.
  • Ensures quality performance is maintained throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinates the construction and completion of quality apartment units within desired time frames and standards set by the Management.
  • Responsible for reporting all job site progress to Superintendent daily so accurate schedules can be maintained.
  • Assists with the scheduling and coordination of laborers, subcontractors & suppliers to ensure timely delivery to site. Assists in managing material on site to keep the site orderly.
  • Ensure jobsite safety, taking the necessary actions to correct safety issues.
  • Assists in coordination of special inspections. Interacts with local municipalities to obtain all required inspections that conform to the plan approvals.
  • Analyzes and understands local and national building codes and ability to assist in managing projects within those stated standards.
  • Works with office staff in compiling close out documentation.
Required Skills:
  • Previous multi-family new construction management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Must understand technical aspects of construction.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
