1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012. 2. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. 3. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. 4. Sets up administrator and service accounts. 5. Maintains system documentation 6. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
7. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. 8. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. 9. May program in an administrative language. 10. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. 11. Provides advice and training to end-users.
12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
13. Participates in special projects as required.
14. Daily Remedy tickets: Management of domain accounts, shared drives, email boxes, group calendars, and public folders
15. Mobile email: Management of mobile messaging servers (BlackBerry and Good) and their associated devices
16. Vulnerability management: Report on affected systems for weekly IAVA releases, team POC for performing vulnerability and compliance scans (ACAS and SCAP), submitting mitigations and/or performing fixes
17. eDiscovery: Assist legal and investigative directorates with retrieving
archived email content in support of agency litigation or investigations
18. Anti-spam: Manage agency anti-spam appliances - update filtering
dictionaries and assist users with message tracking
19. Documentation: Provide SOPs/architecture diagramming/change control documentation within fields of expertise
