Position Description:
Our client is looking for SharePoint Solutions Design Specialist candidates for a position located in New Orleans, LAMy client is a prominent Government Contractor in New Orleans seeking someone to work with stakeholder’s design and plan the build for the out of the box SharePoint 2013 solutions. Candidate will need to have an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.
  • Providing SharePoint based development and sustainment support of the Information/Knowledge Management (IM/KM).
  • Providing “out of the box” customized SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, CSS Style Sheets, HTML5, and other web-based collaborative tools.
  • Produce no-code SharePoint business solutions by creating, adding and managing the configuration of apps, web parts, permissions, custom lists, libraries, etc.
  • Performing as a SharePoint subject matter expert to lead in the development of SharePoint solutions based on changing requirements.
  • Manage solution design lifecycles through planning, gathering technical requirements, designing solutions, testing and implementation; Create quick turn around on new solutions, enhancements and troubleshooting of existing solutions/
  • Communicate with clients at all job levels with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain language; Manage multiple projects including planned projects and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Transforming solutions into a finished product via Master Pages, Layout Pages, CSS and Images.
  • Creating, maintaining, and managing technical documentation including functional descriptions, maintenance manuals, test and implementation plans, interface control documents, and information assurance documentation.
  • Providing on-call support; responding to submitted trouble tickets during regular working hours.
  • Providing design assistance to department site owners who create web content, to include SharePoint design assistance.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in SharePoint design and power user.
  • CompTIA Security + CE Certification – required
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint 2013 features and functionality
  • Ability to rapidly develop and deploy custom business solutions by combining data, documents and business processes in a useful, easy-to-use format within SharePoint
  • Knowledge to assemble, connect, and configure SharePoint apps to produce no-code, high quality, error free deliverables
  • Excellent commitment to customer service, with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in using content types, workflows, forms, validation, permissions, site collection configuration, metadata, term sets and taxonomy
  • Working knowledge of responsive pages development, user experience processes and methods
  • Strong project management, data management and business analysis skills
  • Candidate should able to read and interpret HTML5 and JavaScript, create and update SSRS reports utilizing SharePoint data
  • Serve as the IM/KM team lead with focus on making an effective collaborative effort to meet the client’s requirements including creation, testing, executing, and quality assurance monitoring
  • Must have prior working experience as a SCA
  • The ability to drive successful projects from proof-of-concept to completion within deadlines is highly desired
