Title: Privacy Engineer

Key Role:
Perform privacy control assessments, including control testing on systems containing PII to ensure controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing outcomes to meet the privacy requirements for the system. Review and analyze privacy policies and procedures. Work with system owners and business managers by analyzing the drafting of system privacy plans, privacy threshold analysis (PTA), and privacy impact assessments (PIAs). Review and analyze current and pending legislation and federal privacy requirements to provide comments and feedback on how the requirements may affect federal privacy programs.

Basic Qualifications: 
-5+ years of experience with federal privacy compliance requirements, laws, and regulations
-5+ years of experience with privacy control assessments and testing for properly implemented privacy controls 
-5+ years of experience with drafting privacy compliance documentation
-5+ years of experience with policy and procedure drafting 
-5+ years of experience with applying standard program management and business process management concepts, methods, tools, and techniques, including gap analysis, risk analysis, performance-based metrics, and lessons learned
-Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with implementing privacy requirements from Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
-Knowledge of information sharing programs, assessing privacy implications, and developing remediation solutions
-Knowledge of federal IT security requirements for information systems
-Ability to identify and address client needs and manage client projects
-CIPP Certification, including CIPP/US, CIPP/G, CIPT, or CIPM
