Responsibilities
  • Identify and Implement new security technologies and best practices into NASA's Cloud offerings
  • Identify processes/procedures for how to handle a cloud security event, including forensic isolation and mitigation with Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR/IR) teams
  • Identify new security threats by conducting continual monitoring, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and log analysis
  • Create technical and managerial level reports and risk assessments for Cloud based applications and infrastructure
  • Identify gaps in cloud security architecture 
  • Interface and collaborate with multiple groups and/or managerial staff to eloquently describe and implement security solutions
  • Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on Cloud Security for the Agency
Requirements (Education, Skills & Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 7-9 years related experience in Computer Security, with proven focus on Cloud Security. Clear passion for cloud Security and Cloud technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, security architectures, and standards
  • Deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services, and FedRAMP
  • Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current threats to Cloud infrastructure and/or IT infrastructures at technical and managerial levels
  • Able to automate/script daily tasks through Python, Bash or equivalent
  • Experience meeting compliance within NIST 800-53 and/or FedRAMP a plus 
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to think outside of the box
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify and meet deadlines and milestones
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance (US Citizenship is required)
Desired Skills
  • Security industry certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Government Security group(s)
