Position Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Montgomery, AL
Position Status: Direct Hire
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Financial Analyst candidates in the Montgomery, AL area. 
The position will serve as a liaison between non-clinical departments and information systems; ensuring that applications are current, accurate, responsive confidential and meet regulatory standards for providing care.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of business processes related to healthcare information systems, including the revenue cycle.
  • Identification of system and process issues that require definition and resolution within the organization.
  • Identify financial trends and variances by comparing and analyzing actual results with previous periods and forecasted periods.
  • Guide cost analysis process by recommending policies and procedures changes; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data using subject matter experts.
  • Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
 
Desired:
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial side of healthcare operations preferred.
