Position Title: Sterling Integrator Consultant
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Position Status: Long Term, Multi-Year Contract
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Sterling Integrator Consultant candidates for a position located in Birmingham, Alabama.  We are seeking someone with experience in the Design, Architecture, Development and Administration of EDI applications on Gentran 6.1 and Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2 on Linux multi node environment. Has experience working on all critical roles of SI projects ranging from Analyst, Developer, Project Lead, Architect and Administrator etc.  Possesses strong experience in MQ, Pubnet, AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTP technologies.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Experience in performing end to end EDI integrations on Gentran Server 6.1 and Sterling Integrator 5.2.3.
  • Experience in installing patches and upgrades on Sterling Integrator and configuring property files as per installation parameters.
  • Plan, implement, test and validate Gentran Server 6.1 to Sterling Integrator 5.2.3 upgrade.
  • Has experience in collecting business requirements from customers for new on-boardings, prepare implementation guides and work on complete cycle of the project ensuring successful closure.
  • Experience in mapping across different versions of XML, flat file, X12 and EDIFACT like 3010,3010,3060,4010,5010, 92A, 93A, 96A, 97A etc in Sterling Map Editor.
  • Experience includes mapping 837, 835, 820, 270, 271, 276, 277 and 997 in X12 and EDIFACT documents.
  • Experience in configuring and using different services/adapters like File system adapter, LWJDBC adapter, FTP adapters, HTTP adapters, MQ adapters, etc.
  • Experience in migrating from X12 4010 standard to 5010 standard
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills of SI issues which includes node issues, database issues, FTP/HTTP session issues, data validation issues, performance issues, network issues, etc.
  • Experience with SI Web Services which includes Configuring WSDL, BPs, XML DTDs, XPath functions, etc.
  • Ability to configure SI mailboxes for different trading partners, created business processes to pull from the mailboxes and send it to backend.
  • Ability to configure SCC rules for getting SI alerts.
  • Performance tuning of SI applications.
Required Skills:
  • At least 5 years of experience in with at least one of the following suite of products - Sterling Integrator 5.x, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Control Center, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling External Authentication Server, Sterling Configuration Manager, Connect:Direct, GXS Application Integrator, TrustedLink Enterprise, BizManager, BizLink, BizConnect, Axway B2Bi 1.5 and above, Sentinel, Secure Transport, API Gateway
  • At least 5 years of experience in Development/ Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes.
  • Experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, Banking and Financial Services.
