Position Description:
Our client is looking for HPC Computer Scientist candidates for a position located in Birmingham, Al.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Directly supporting research and enablement activities on HPC systems in computational science and engineering and data analysis.
  • Expertise in HPC application installation, porting, performance tuning and optimization.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide user support for all types of inquiries.
  • Installation, porting, tuning of high performance applications, data analysis software stack.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art computer technology, equipment, systems and support benchmarking activities in the lab for future procurements.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience after PhD or BS degree w/ 6 years experience or MS degree w/ 4 years experience.
  • Expertize in using or supporting computational science and engineering and data analysis codes in different HPC environments.
  • Ability to support research activities in an HPC environment.Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative research environment.Programming HPC applications (Fortran, C/C++, MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, OpenACC etc.)
  • Track record of publications in computational science and engineering and data analysis journals and conferences.
