Position Description:
Our client is looking for Budget and Forecasting Analyst candidates for a position located in Montgomery, AL
 
Required Education:
  • Degree in accounting, Management Information, or Finance with working knowledge of other disciplines
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis: MBA, MSHA, or CPA with finance and insurance industry experience are desirable      
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop agency short and long-term forecasting models, accounting for significant variables that influence outcomes
  • Facilitate data integration from financial systems, claim systems, eligibility systems and third-party sources (such as demographic information) into ad hoc and standardized reports for Agency decision making
  • Prepare and analyze cost report information (nursing homes, hospitals, and other providers) into comparative reports to assess profitability and solvency
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze reimbursement models (primarily hospitals) for submission to federal regulators
 
Skills:
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in using computer tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, SAS) to develop analytic models and perform analysis
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining management reporting systems
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity in identifying new problems/issues/concerns and then using analytical modeling techniques to develop relevant information
  • Experience or interest in healthcare is a plus
