Position Title: Cloud Devops Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL

Position Status: Contract to Hire
 
Position Description:
We currently have a great opportunity for a cloud DevOps engineer working in the Solid Edge portfolio of products.  This position will work with cross-functional teams to develop products, business processes and online commercialization of cloud applications, including migration of current applications to cloud.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of systems engineering experience in a cloud environment (preferably AWS).
  • ‚ÄčExpert knowledge of systems architecture and design best practices, Linux systems administration, and application and infrastructure monitoring.
  • A willingness to independently learn and maintain knowledge of best practices in these areas across the industry.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language common in systems and operations engineering, such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
  • Proficiency in Shell programming.
  • Proficiency in at least one infrastructure configuration automation tool such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with AWS EC2, S3 and IAM services, including best practices for infrastructure and data security.
  • Understanding of core IT, software development, and Agile concepts.
  • Proactive business and leadership skills, including strong collaborative skills.
