Position Title: Multimedia/E-Learning Specialist
Location: Montgomery, AL

Position Status: Part Time (20-30 hours/week), Long-term Contract

Position Description:
Provide on-site development, maintenance and instruction of learning media, online resources and graphic products to support activities. Specifically, the contractor will:
  • As tasked, assist in educating personnel and faculty on multimedia technologies, processes, and techniques to support teaching and learning.
  • Assist identifying and developing state-of-the-art media technologies to advance teaching and learning. Technologies include but are not limited to; video, audio, computer animation and multimedia communications; voice-centered technologies such as compact disc (CD); digital video disc (DVD); web casts, instructional videos, interactive videoconferencing media talks, podcasts and streamed presentations; and virtual classroom environments delivered over the Internet/Intranet.
  • Assist in the development, management and maintenance of innovative online products and tools to inform and advance teaching and learning activities.
  • As tasked, assist in support of online resources including web design, graphic design and content maintenance for html-based sites, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SharePoint platforms

  • Must possess significant knowledge and experience with creation and distribution of multimedia products applicable to teaching and learning such as video and audio presentations including the use of industry standard applications for creating and managing multimedia.
  • Must possess significant knowledge and experience with basic graphic design techniques that support teaching and learning including the use of standard applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Must possess significant knowledge and experience with online education processes, applications and techniques including management of HTML, CSS, social media, Learning Management Systems, and SharePoint and other Content Management Systems.
