Implementation Project Manager (Mid Level)

Position Title: Project Manager (Mid-Level)
Location: Birmingham, AL
Position Status: Full Time – Direct Hire
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Project Manager candidates for a position located in Birmingham, AL.  The Project Manager will manage complex client implementation projects that are heavily data driven.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead teams of internal resources and third-party vendors to successfully implement solutions and high-quality products
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Define and prioritize implementation scope and backlog tasks
  • Facilitate the execution of the client implementation priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the company’s architectural design, products, and functionality being delivered
  • Create SOWs and Schedules
  • Represent the client needs and priorities during the product development life cycle and conduct internal product reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality products
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders throughout the implementation and onboarding phase
  • Measure progress and provide status updates to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Transition new client relationships and products to the Client Services team
  • Develop test plans and document results
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Report and escalate risks and issues to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including meeting minutes and work assignment tickets in JIRA
 
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
 
Required Skills:
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and developers on projects in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong scheduling, issue and risk management background
  • Experience with technology projects and agile methodologies including creating schedules and roadmaps
  • Experience gathering requirements, interpreting and prioritizing client needs
  • In-depth issue and risk management experience
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Experience creating status reports and communicating status to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
