Technical DevOps Manager (AWS)

Position Title: Technical DevOps Manager
Location: Remote
Position Status: Contract
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for hands-on Technical DevOps Manager candidates for a remote position in the financial sector. The ideal candidate has expert knowledge with AWS and provide technical guidance/solutions while can guiding/leading a team of 10-15 IT professionals.
 
Requirements & Areas of Strength:
  • Minimum of one (1) Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification
  • Terraform
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Lead/Hands-on Management experience
 
Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • Works to provide the automation and tooling
  • Liaison to Infrastructure team to automate the provisioning and configuration of resources and software
  • Provides monitoring and observability into the behavior of applications and systems
  • Support new infrastructure and operational needs
  • Manages a continuous deployment pipeline
  • Develops and automates standard operating procedures
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues in our development, test and production environments
  • Involved in building DevOps road
  • Building and executing CI/CD pipelines – on both Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
     
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar preferred
 
Required Skills:
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with EKS / ECS or container orchestration
  • Strong experience with Amazon EC2, Amazon VPC, Auto Scaling, Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Identity & Access Management
  • DevOps and CI/CD tools such as, but not limited Jenkins and Ansible, Terraform (for AWS)
  • Scripting experience
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline along with traceability of work from Ideation to Production – Jira /Bitbucket/Jenkins/Docker Images / Jfrog Artifactory – Release Management
  • Experience provisioning workloads with Ansible
