Position Title: Help Desk Specialist
Location: Birmingham, AL
Position Status: Contract to hire
 
Position Description:
Our client is looking for Help Desk Specialist candidates for a large organization located in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate can turn complicated issues in to simple solutions through active listening, interpersonal communication and cross-functional teamwork.
 
Skills & Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and make accurate decisions promptly in a dynamic work environment.
  • Guide end users through various procedures via email and phone conversations.
  • Create, monitor and own cases in the Ticketing system
  • Escalate difficult cases to senior technicians.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven record of problem solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
  • Use computer systems to gather information, track and troubleshoot issues, and respond to issues.
  • Computer application experience with a strong proficiency in MS office applications.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Technical support or call center experience.
  • Good technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask in high tension situations.
