Position Title: SEO Specialist (Content Marketing)
Location: Birmingham, AL
Position Status: Contract to Perm
Position Description:
Our client is looking for SEO Specialist candidates for a position located in Birmingham, AL

  • Collaborate with our content and creative teams to help identify opportunities to create, distribute, and promote web content. 
  • Define and build keyword lists based on corporate objectives, supplier requests, and market opportunity, using a mix of proprietary tools, analytics data, and PPC data
  • Preparing and executing on-page optimization strategies to achieve organic visibility for our knowledge sites, blogs, and articles
  • Reviewing and editing page content to comply with SEO guidelines and best practices, and to ensure proper messaging, use of value propositions, and call to action statements to drive conversions
  • Preparing website technical audits to identify areas of concern from an SEO perspective
  • Reviewing website analytics reports and keyword lists to come up with strategies to improve indexation
  • Reviewing web analytics data to provide feedback to our internal team on performance, and to analyze visitor behavior and trends to come up with the next steps
  • Working with our internal resources to prepare, plan and execute link building and content marketing strategies
  • Coordinating regularly with our website development and UX teams, as well as with senior management, to ensure that we are getting positive results
  • Strong face-to-face, telephone, and email communications skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Understanding of Agile Marketing
  • Strong writing and content editing skills
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering organic and PPC traffic-related outcomes that move the needle in competitive markets
  • Ability to think strategically to identify and define keyword opportunities for optimization
  • Strong understanding of website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Knowledge of factors that influence search engine rankings
  • Working Knowledge of SEO software such as Moz, BrightEdge, WordStream, ahrefs, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, and others
  • Experience with paid search (Google Ads, Facebook Ads)
