Job Description:

The Senior Director of Business Development sells the complete product and service offerings to new customers. The position may also entail a secondary focus on penetrating certain existing customers with real growth opportunity, as assigned by management. The role requires closing and handing off for implementation high value growth opportunities using complex critical communication solutions.
This role requires interacting with customers and prospects by way of face-to-face meetings and while achieving assigned sales goals.
  • Developing Prospect Lists
  • Acquire new customers
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert when selling product solutions offered and their processes
  • Lead the sales process, leverage sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, RFP/RFQ response and implementation
  • Sell a complete solution of software, services and support to ensure customer success.
  • Penetrate targeted accounts; both established, mature and emerging accounts.
  • Telephone prospect engagement
  • Attend local and distant networking event for prospecting and relationship development
  • Represent company at trade shows and industry related events as directed by management
  • Exemplify clear understanding of product pricing model and elements
  • Conduct prospect discovery sessions – In person / on phone
  • Conduct information gathering and create summary
  • Engage in the preparation of presentations
  • Engage broad range of players in prospective account, including C-level contacts
  • Direct Solution Engineer for technical solution presentation development
  • Schedule web and face-to-face presentations
  • Assemble and provide “summary of understanding” to prospect
  • Serve as lead presenter on all web & in-person presentations
  • Assemble and customize proposal and executive summary for the prospect
  • Initiate creation of contract creation while guiding regarding opportunity specifics
  • Deliver contract
  • Manage through to close and acquire signature
