HRIS Analyst

Position Title: HRIS Analyst
Location: Richmond, VA 23219
Position Status: Direct hire
Compensation: Extremely competitive
Shift: Monday - Friday (8am to 5pm)
Under direction, assists the HRIS Manager and other leaders through research and analysis. Accountable for data integrity and reporting of the global HRIS system.
  • Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, printouts and performance indicators to locate and correct data problems/discrepancies
  • Convert existing reports to Cognos Analytics and automate delivery of reports
  • Run routine daily/weekly/monthly reports and distribute as appropriate after validating results; create ad hoc reports and workforce analytics for users as needed
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and recommend/implement solutions/corrections for HRIS related matters
  • Provide technical assistance to Human Resources and payroll staff to ensure data integrity including, identification and correction of data errors, resolution of data entry problems, etc.
  • Assist with training Human Resources personnel and creating/maintaining documentation and tools for proper data entry
  • Assist with pre-release tests (trial runs) on new systems, enhancements, etc., to ensure optimal functionality of system data
  • Assist with data entry and data integrity for US employees and oversee data entry and data integrity of foreign employees into the HRIS system
  • Assist with government required reporting including management and accuracy of reported data content
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Access Database skills required
  • Experience in Cognos reporting preferred
  • Knowledge of Ultipro System preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP general ledger preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Able to take complex data and translate it into a usable and understandable format
  • Demonstrate the ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills; listens effectively
  • Demonstrates effective organizational skills and able to prioritize work, develop appropriate time lines and work to deadlines
  • Able to work with minimum supervision in handling routine tasks and takes initiative as appropriate
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to quickly changing business environment
  • Demonstrate a customer services orientation
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of a wide variety of software programs
  • Must maintain confidentiality of data
